SATURDAY NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT!!

Very funny thing happened watching TV on Saturday night. Every time I've asked DH to look at or touch tum to feel the wee fella moving, he's stopped! So, Saturday night, I kept grabbing his hand when there was movement, and again, the wee man got all shy!! So DH put his head on my tum and said "I wonder if you can hear anything" - and got a proper boot in the ear!! He jumped away from me staring wide eyed at my belly, saying "what was that?" I couldn't stop laughing!!

My dad is chuffed, and has his grandchild playing for Motherwell FC already!

WHAT A WEEK!!!

To start with, our granite arrived for the kitchen so we had to get the sink and gas hob disconnected. Guy who fitted them was on holiday, so had to get another. This guy was a major jobsworth and found a tiny gas leak, so cut us off!!!! Transco had to come out followed by three visits from gas man, gas mans boss and a joiner to lift the floor boards in the living room!!!

They all agreed it was so tiny and as there was no gas smell it could have been left alone, but the guy had basically opened a can of worms!! So four days with no hot water later, we're back on.

Went to Next Clearance place with my mum, seriously short of things to wear and I refuse to pay loads. I was so looking forward to maternity wear shopping, but it's the pits! I have some jeans, a pair of linen trousers, a linen top, some t'shirts, a pair of combats and a joggy suit. God help me if we get an invite to something!!

Well - get the flags out - we bought our pram!!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!! Went to the GPC today and bought the Bebecar Vector. They had it in stock so we decided to bring it home, that way I can start practicing fitting the car seat!!

Had a lazy weekend, read Harry all day yesterday and finished it at 00.10 Sunday morning!! It was fab - I know, I'm sad!!

SAW THE WEE MAN AGAIN!!

Had scan yesterday, which went well, we're back again at beginning of September. Fibroid same size as the wee man - it's like a twin pg!! Didn't get any pics as doc was more concerned with making sure everything was present and correct - which it was. Wee guy is lying upside down on my right side, which explains the tickles I keep getting under my boob at my ribs, lol! Been getting "air bubble" sensations since about 17/18 weeks, but it's been getting more consistent recently.

Told doc about the SPD and he tried to get me an appointment with the physio, turned out she was having a class that day at 1pm on the very subject, so I went back in the afternoon and sat with four other girls getting shown different excercises. I didn't take a bump band or crutches, as I'd rather try the excercises first. One of the girls recommended support pants from Mothercare, which I'll also try.

Cot mattress, changing unit and nursing pillow arrived today, so we're getting there. Decided to return the mattress though. A friend was telling me you're better with a sprung mattress as, if the baby turns over in it's sleep, there's ventilation.

So many things you need to think about........

Another couple of weeks worth of diary entries - sorry!!

Ok - was talking to my SIL about prams and as she has three boys (youngest 2yrs) I figured she would know what she was talking about!! She recommended not spending a huge amount on the pram as after a year/18 months I would be buying a cheap light weight McLaren. She said as long as the car seat can fit onto the buggy or clip onto the chassis that will do. I told her I didn't like the idea of the baby going round the shops for a couple of hours bundled in a car seat - she took hold of my arm and said, I guarantee you will not want to wake a sleeping baby to move it from/to a car seat from/to a pram. Hmmmmm..... think she might have a point! So, head's still nippin!! Might have a look at the Graco range, they're not mad expensive, I'm sure they have the clip base for the car seat, which I really want, and, well, still can't make up my mind!!!!

Came away from her shop with a boot full of stuff - air purifier, gro bags, baby gates, sun shades for the car windows.........

Thought I would share a bargain with you. You all know my pram saga, however, I also wanted to buy a second hand three wheeler for in the park. I've got a German Shepherd who needs a good hours walk a day (I'm off duty cos of my SPD!!) and guaranteed we both need a hose down after!! Anyway, didn't want to spend a fortune on a buggy that would be permanently boggin, lol! Was having a search on ebay and found this fab ebay shop, I got a fantastic 3 wheeler for £35 delivered! They have a range of ex-catalogue items, from grade A to grade C. My SIL as you know sells mostly A's and the odd B, my buggy is a C. Basically it's been returned cos of a fault which has been fixed then sold on. The majority of these items start from £0.99!! Anyway, it's fantastic, really sturdy, and has no wear whatsoever, so much better than second hand.

Well, we've made another couple of purchases. Cot mattress, changing unit and nursing pillow - still no pram though! Bought a universal rain cover for the three wheeler, from the same ebay shop - lovin that crowd - £15 delivered!! Me and my bargain hunting! Mum gave me two wee babygros she bought two years ago the other day - they're really cute wee Christmas ones! Size 0-3 months too - she must be psychic!! Got our scan next Tuesday - can't wait to see the wee fella again!
