IT'S A BOY!!!!!!

I haven't been on for ages, so bear with me - this is probably two weeks worth of posts!!

Made our first baby purchase the other week. Got a fab baby monitor from TK Maxx, £130 for £70. It's got a wee TV on it, with night vision!!!! Fab!! Completely confused with the whole pram issue. We went to the Fort, and had a nosy in Mamas & Papas, I don't know if DH and I are just huge, but they all felt really dinky! Glasgow Pram Centre will be next I think.

Well, pram shopping turned into car window shopping, which turned into car purchasing!!! Picking up a new Citroen Picasso. I got a nice cheque from a bump I had in my car (car ran into the back of me) three years ago. Cheque arrived last weekend - all gone!!! The car's nice, big and sturdy, with a lovely big boot, so we won't be restricted with what size of pram we buy. Just need to go looking again - oops!!

Had an emotional breakdown last Thursday!! Sister's wedding was at 12.30 in Cyprus, 10.30 our time. So gave her and mum a phone at 9.30, here. Mum was all excited, but then was saying how much she was missing me, so I was feeling a bit choked up. Couldn't get through to Sis's phone, she wasn't with my mum at that point. Then the house phone rang and it was Wishaw Gen with the rest of the results from the amnio. It turns out baby has same balanced translocation as DH, which, as DH is fine, just means baby may have trouble conceiving too when time comes. They're running extra tests to see if baby has a chromo 14 from me. She then asked me if I wanted to know the sex of baby, which of course we do, and IT'S A BOY !! Big secret though, so keep it to yourselves!!!! DH was out with dog when all this was going on, so sat having a blub to myself!! Anyway managed to get through to Sister who was all excited and I was trying to hold it together, cos as much as there is no way I would have considered flying, especially after the amnio, I'm really sad to be missing her big day. So, to say I was an emotional wreck is an understatement!! News story came on about Maddie McCann's dad having pictures of her stolen, and I blubbed like a baby! I had to make sure I watch only cheery things on TV!!!!

Well, looks like I've got SPD!! I've had an ache in my pubic bone niggling at me for the last couple of weeks and I had half an idea what it was. I called the clinic and spoke to a midwife who agreed it was SPD, probably caused by my huge fibroid and the fact Junior is still lying all to the right side. If it gets really sore I've to call Wishaw and see their Maternity Physio and get a bump support band. In the meantime keep my knees together as much as possible, getting out of bed, out the car etc.

Lidl had a travel cot for £24.99. My mum & dad asked me to get it for them while they are in Cyprus so they can keep it in they're house for the grandweans!! They also had really cute baby stuff and we bought a wee Disney set with blanket, hat and booties!! Our first wee blue thing!!

SPD not giving me too much trouble at the moment, I'm taking it easy! Want to try and get eveything done within the next 10 weeks in case I'm in major pain towards the end of the pg. I've heard horror stories about girls in crutches etc!! Went to Glasgow Pram Centre on Monday - still no further forward with the pram, but think we've narrowed it down to possibly a Bebecar Vector. Only trouble is they dont do the click base for the car seat, which is so much easier to manage - who knew it would be this confusing and frustrating!!! Loving every minute of it though!!

Looks like Mary’s system is away to pot, she either over stimulates (too many follicles) or her Aunt Flo doesn’t show for months! Safe to say, she is going crazy!
