GOT THE BLOOD RESULTS BACK

I kept telling everyone, "once I get to the 12wk scan I'll be able to relax", they kept replying, "yeh right, then its, once I get to the 20wk scan I'll be fine" They were so right!!!!

Dr phoned (from his house) last night with our blood results. They've got worse. 1-9 of Downs, 1-37 of Pataus. Looks like we've no choice but to go for the amnio. The Downs isn't as big a concern as the Pataus. If the baby has Pataus, it will either miscarry or die within a week of being born. I feel sick. Part of me wishes I hadn't had the second Nuchal.

I was of course being drama queen in bed after the scan thinking " was there something wrong, why didn't bubs move after being prodded so much?"

The Nuchal scan is a pretty detailed scan - as detailed as you can get before 20wks. I'm waiting on the clinic phoning back re the amnio. The Dr last night said if we have any bother getting seen by Wishaw Gen, he will do it himself at the Queen Mothers. He was a really nice guy.

My dad likes to put on a coupon at the weekends and he was talking about 9-1 odds, and my sis asked if there were nine lottery tickets in front of me and one of them was worth a million, what were the chances of me picking it up!?! Nice wee reality check!!

The amnio is done around 16wks and we have our next scan on 5th June to check on the fibroid, so we'll be getting well looked after.

I just have to think really positively, poor wee bubs has been frozen and thawed twice - it must be healthy to go through all that and stick!!
